Verkocht door: Rob de Boer. Omschrijving: This midcentury table lamp is excellent and a bit of a rarity. It was made by EWÅ, a company from Sweden that closed down in the 1980's.
The lamp is marked with the stamp from the manufacturer underneath the crowfeet base. Lamps like this are sometimes contributed to Dutch designer Louis Kalff, but this is incorrect. The lamp is in great vintage condition, lamp shade virtually unblemished. The white metal base shows light traces of use.
The lamp uses a regular E14 light bulb and is wired for both 110V and 220V grid. The plug is EU-spec, some countries use different outlets.
Dimensions: 32 centimeters tall, diameter lamp shade is about 15 centimeters.
This midcentury table lamp is simply beautiful. Crow-feet legs, an elegantly curved brass arm and an elegant lamp shade in white milky glass to top it off. It is probably from German origin, from a company like Cosack Leuchten or VEB Leuchten.
Both the feet and the round base for the lamp shade are finished in light green wrinkle paint. Only the legs show a few minor paint chips, see picture. The lamp uses a regular E14 light bulb, 60W max. Suited for 110V and 220V grid, EU-spec plug.
When shipped, both lamps be wrapped thoroughly to prevent any damage.
