Verkocht door: Rob de Boer. Omschrijving: Stunning and rare table lamp with original lamp shade of enameled glass, made by Loys Lucha. This was the company of Louis Joseph Chaffard-Luçon, who made this sort of glass around the 1920's and 1930's. It is rivaled in quality only by glassmakers such as Daum, Degué and Legras.
The company Loys Lucha specialized in ceiling lamps, curved glass bowls with similar ornamentation. Table lamps are much less common. This particular lamp is well signed, it has a gorgeous and colorful floral decor of yellow roses (I think they are roses) with some green leaves and subtle branches. The glass is hand-painted and it also has a textured surface of etched lines. The lamp itself consists of a sturdy base of nickel-plated brass, with an upright column of what seems to be marble. Great quality piece.
Underneath the lamp shade, there are brass and porcelain sockets for 4 regular E14 light bulbs. Wiring suited for both 110V and 220V grid, EU-spec plug.
Dimensions:
35 centimeters tall (approx 14")
35 centimeters wide (hexagonal lamp shade)
