Verkocht door: Rob de Boer. Omschrijving: This Cuboluce table lamp is a design classic from the early 70's. It was designed by Franco Bettonica and Mario Melocchi for Cini & Nils. The original design has been part of the permanent at the Museum of Modern Art in New Yorkexhibition.
This lamp is still produced today in many different colors and textures. I am not sure when this particular example was made. It is in any way well marked on the bottom and in excellent condition. One of the ingenious traits of this lamp is that the lid functions as the on/off switch. Box closed, lamp goes out. Box open, the light is switched on and reflected from the silver-colored surface of the lid. The lamp can be used as a reading light next to your bed, or as an accent to light a dim corner in your room.
Dimensions: 10 x 10 x 10 centimeters. It uses a regular E14 light bulb (40W max recommended) and is wired for both 110V and 220V grid. The plug is EU-spec, some countries use different outlets.
